Aidan Gageler is an artist who works in and around the parameters of photography. He is a 2020 graduate from Camberwell College of the Arts, part of the University of the Arts London. His practice is research driven, focusing on the mediums printmaking history in combination with contemporary concern and aesthetic. He lives and works on the unceded land of the Awabakal people (Newcastle, New South Wales, Australia).
He works with the within the literal definition of photography, that being 'drawing with light.' This affords the medium greater liberties to explore the world of image generation, rather than purely being a medium of imitation; making memories tangible.
Aidan's work is housed in numerous private collections around Australia and the U.K.
